Whitney joined the anti-violence movement in 2017. She was born and raised in Maine and has recently moved to Baltimore City with her dog Roxy and partner Chelsea.

She comes from a background in sociology where she studied how people and systems interact with each other. This led her to the realization that not enough focus is put on how violence truly impacts a person and their community. She spent three years working one-on-one with survivors of sexual violence in Southern Maine and then moved on to coalition work where she focused on equity and access for historically marginalized survivors. She believes that violence impacts all of us, but we have the tools and resources to create different conditions.

When Whitney is off work, you can find her visiting food markets with her partner, hanging at home watching tv or reading a book, and traveling to see shows like concerts and live podcasts
